Thoughtful Community Planning
Trussville is experiencing dynamic growth; planning ensures we preserve our small-town character while adapting to future needs

Support Local Business

Every dollar spent at a Trussville business recirculates in the community --- creating jobs, funding public services, and supporting local families

Transparent and Accessible

Transparency encourages better decision-making. More eyes on public policy means more community insight, and fewer surprises. I want to bring City Hall closer to the people.

Responsible Financial Management
Good financial stewardship ensures that we're not just balancing the books, but actually building a stronger, more resilient community

Community Centered Governance

Trussville is growing — economically, residentially, and demographically. Growth creates opportunities and challenges. The key is ensuring residents feel heard and involved.

Thoughtful Community Planning

Balanced Growth. Intentional Policy. Sustainable Trussville. Thoughtful Community Planning means more than reacting to trends; it means guiding development, infrastructure, and investment decisions based on sound judgment, strategy, and community input. Lack of planning leads to congestion, frustration, and reactive decision-making. Thoughtful planning helps foster a stable community and create opportunities.

In July 2020, our city published the Trussville 2040 plan. This plan outlined a vision, but is not a plan. Our city needs a comprehensive update to many documents meant to govern our growth. Two of the most important are the Subdivision Regulations (1978) and City Comprehensive Plan (2006). These will be a focal point for me if elected.

As someone who thrives on evaluating options, setting standards and solving problems, I will support policies that reflect Trussville’s best interests—not just for today, but for tomorrow as well.

Responsible Financial Management

Serving Trussville with Fiscal Care. Our city has faced tremendous growth over the past decade. Growth needs to be managed as it creates financial challenges that can strain the budget.

Because Trussville relies so much on sales tax, the balance between residential and commercial growth becomes critical. New neighborhoods increase the demand for city services immediately, but the sales tax revenue that funds those services often lags behind. In some cases, residential growth outpaces commercial development altogether, creating a gap between what the city needs to spend and what it actually brings in.

We must ensure that growth pays for itself and supports a thriving, well-served community. With responsible financial management and planning, we can preserve the high quality of life our residents expect—without compromising our city’s financial foundation.

Support Local Businesses

Support our Local Businesses.  Shop Trussville First. From family-owned boutiques to local service providers and eateries, these entrepreneurs invest in Trussville every day. We should invest in them. When we shop local, we do more than make a transaction — we keep dollars circulating in our community.

This is personal to me -- All three of my kids work at small businesses in Trussville. I am thankful that we have local businesses who want to hire from within the community. Our small businesses bring jobs, fuel schools, infrastructure and our public services.

Our shops, restaurants, and service providers give Trussville its charm and personality. They make us Trussville.

Community Centered Governance

Community-centered Government Starts with ListeningAs our city continues to grow, I believe it’s essential to work hand-in-hand with the community to build a stronger, smarter, and more unified Trussville. Our city is filled with intelligent, service-oriented, and caring individuals — and I want to hear your voices.

You have the power to help shape how we approach land use, zoning, infrastructure, education, and public services. Great leadership starts by listening — and then taking meaningful action.

When the community is engaged and local leaders are responsive, better outcomes follow. Policies become more thoughtful. Projects have greater impact. And trust in local government grows.

Be courteous. Be constructive. Be heard.

Transparency and Accessible

Transparency brings Trust.  local government works best when citizens are informed, engaged, and confident in how decisions are made. My vision is to bring city operations into clearer view for the people we serve.

I will advocate for a system that ensures citizens have consistent access to timely, relevant, and easy-to-understand information about city business. This means publishing meeting agendas and supporting documents at least 72 hours in advance, providing clear, plain-language summaries of council decisions and policy changes, and making all public financial data available online.

A government that shares its plans, invites public input, and owns its outcomes is one that earns and maintains the public’s trust.
